Diet and Nutrition

As the saying goes, “you are what you eat” Diet [our food] must contain essential nutrients for good health to flourish.
Macronutrients [proteins, carbohydrates, lipids or fats]are energy producing so we need lots daily from our food.
Micronutrients, vitamins and minerals are also required however in much smaller quantities, although equally important. Two thirds of our body is made up of water, meaning we need a good daily intake for maintaining essential health. Vitamins minerals and water are inorganic whilst proteins, carbohydrates and fats are organic.

What is a Healthy Diet

A balanced, healthy diet is essential for maintaining the body’s natural immune system keeping us fit and healthy into our old age. Generally, a balanced diet should contain 20 per cent acid foods, meat, fish, cereals and dairy, 80 per cent alkaline foods such as vegetables and fresh fruits [live foods].
Foods today can be freeze dried, irradiated over cooked and grown in depleted soil resulting in poor quality food making it onto our plates on a daily accurrence.

To overcome these problems, Diet Profiling your individual requirements based on an Allergy Test becomes extremely important. Once the Allergy Test has been completed, you will be given a personal diet profile giving you suggestions for alternative foods and food groups.
